Canton Racing Products 3-Quart Accusump System CAN 24-006

When you've invested as much money as we have in your race engine, you want to make sure it lasts as long as possible. One enemy of long-lasting engines is dry starts. This isn't a big problem for your daily driver. Enough oil remains in the engine from day to day that it rarely starts fully dry.

However, if you're like most racers, your pride and joy generally sits a month or more at a time. In the meanwhile, all of your surfaces get all dried out. Ouch! The accusump solves that problem. Simply open the Accusump valve anytime the engine is running and then close it before you shut the engine off. The Canton Accusump fills not only with 3 quarts of oil, but just as importantly, with oil pressure. The next time you start the engine, open the valve on the Accusump just before starting. That pressurized oil is relieved through the entire engine, allowing you to start with your engine fully lubricated.

Note that we do not include the various AN fittings and other hardware required to install the Accusump into your car. There are several reasons for this. First, you may wish to use barbed fittings and rubber hose for your installation. Not a route that we recommend (particularly if you are running the pressureized oil line through the cab of your car.) Second, you may already have some of the required parts on hand--why buy more? Finally, every installation will be a bit unique.

That said, we didn't want to leave you in the dark guessing what might be required. To that end, we provide this example accusump installation diagram. This isn't intended to be a how-to manual or a replacement for good race car engineering. Instead, use this to get you pointed in the right direction and modify to your specific needs.
