There are a lot of good pistons out there for the 1.8 liter Miata motor but none that gave us exactly what we were looking for. So, we had these custom forged aluminum pistons produced to our specifications. 84.2mm bore (not 84.0), approximately 12:1 compression ratio depending on your block/gasket/head setup. This balanced set features Total Seal Piston rings, wrist-pins, and circlips. Available individually, the default quantity when added to your cart is four. Adjust according to your requirements.
There are several good compression ratio calculators out there. Piston specs for compression ratio calculations:
- Bore: 84.2mm
- Dome: 10.0cc
- Compression Height: 1.2010mm
You'll also need to find your:
- Stroke (Presumably 85.00mm)
- Head Gasket Bore Diameter (Roughly 84.5mm)
- Head Gasket Thickness (Roughly .8mm)
- Combustion Chamber Volume (Roughly 46cc)
- Piston Deck Clearance (Roughly .36mm)
