Around here, we run Eagle components in virtually everything we build. From our old 22R E-Production Toyota to the turbocharged LS2 engine we cutom-built for an aircraft engine project (ask us about that sometime!) So we were estatic when we went by the Eagle booth at the SEMA show last year and our friend Alan Davis told us that Eagle had introduced a version of ther H-Beam connecting rod for the Miata engine. SCHWEET!

These rods are made out of 4340 steel and come with the 3/8" ARP 2000 rod bolts built-in. They are packaged in matching weight sets (+/- 1 gram). And while our engine is still just a little bit shy of 900 HP, it is good to know that these Eagle rods are rated to handle that level of power.

Tech Tip: Torge the rod bolts to 43 ftlbs with ARP moly lube applied to threads (included in kit.)
