If you're struggling with the decision whether to run carburetors or not...stop it. We fought that battle for years with the old E-Production 83 Celica GT. Mind you, we're not carburetor haters. If your situation is completely static then carburetors can be a great solution.

However, if you're road-racing at different tracks, in different seasons, in different weather, then it's time to move out of the carburetor age. Since the first time we tried the FJO 341B engine management system years ago, our new motto is, "If you're tuning the car with the hood open, you're doing something wrong." That is a fact! If you get to the race track and there is anything under the hood that needs tweaking to make the engine operate perfectly, you're starting with one leg in a hole.

With closed-loop, standalone engine management, you take it to the dyno and get it tuned right one time. Save that tune to a file. Then, when you go to the track, let it self-learn. The ECU will compensate for temperature, humidity, and other changes throughout the day. Heck, throughout the race! We're kind of paranoid, so when we come off the track, we save what it learned and make copious notes. We've build up a repetoir of tune file for different tracks in different conditions. Sebring in July? Got it! Roebling Road in October? Got that one too. We load up the one that puts us closest to the mark, set it to autolearn, and we're done.

Of course, now that we're no longer spending hour tuning and testing at the track, we have to find something else to do with our time. Like actually watching other classes race, visiting, eating, relaxing. It's hard work but someone has to do it!

I could put everything in here as one big kit, or everything ala carte, but I've kind of chosen to go in-between. I'll put in here a basic kit that gives you everything you must have, then list all of the things you will probably want individually. FJO 341B Engine Management Unit (Basic Kit)

Using our TMD Racing 3-wire Coil-On-Plug coils and stock or aftermarket high-impedance fuel injectors. Kit includes:

FJO Wideband Air-Fuel Ratio Sensor

Required for closed-loop operation (self tuning.) We do not offer Bosch sensors here since they are not compatible with racing fuel. Choose with or without external gauge. Also available with 8-foot harness. Includes:

FJO FJO Intake Air Temperature Sensor Kit

These are great if you are interested in monitoring your intake air temperature. We mount ours right in the back of our air filter. This includes both the sensor and the install harness. Fast respons open element. Polyester & glass fiber with brass body. 3/8-18" NPT Male. -40°F to +275°F (-40°C to +135°C) operating temperature range. Includes:

FJO Fluid Temperature Sensors

Scatter these throughout the car to monitor fluid temperatures. Water Temperature? Of course. Engine Oil temperature? Obviously. How about those rear differentials that are prone to getting toasty? Sure, that too! Kits include the sensor and installation harness. Available in both Standard (3/8-18" NPT Male) or Metric (M12x1.5mm Male). High quality brass construction, -40°F to +275°F (-40°C to +135°C) operating temperature range.

FJO Pressure Sensors

Like the temperature sensors, you're going to want to have a few of these on the car too. One for the oil pressure and another for the fuel pressure to mention two. Laser-welded stainless steel package, calibrated over an operating temperature range of -40°F to +275°F (-40°C to +135°C). 1/8-27" NPT Male pressure port. Includes:
